When Anna “Annie” Reiley was born on December 12, 1859, her father, Dr. William Franklin Reiley, was 31, and her mother, Sarah, was 28.Her sister Emily was born in April 1868 in Greensburg, Indiana, when Anna “Annie” was 8 years old. Her sister Emily died on August 29, 1868, in Stinesville, Indiana, when Anna “Annie” was 8 years old. She married Sanford Ferguson Darrah on August 11, 1892. Her father William Franklin passed away on November 21, 1895, in Alexandria, Kentucky, at the age of 67. She died on October 10, 1952, in San Diego, California, at the age of 92, and was buried there. The heart-wrenching story of this independent woman was deemed fascinating by the team inside of the Darrah House, and here are our findings:

Annie was a Strong Woman

They had been married 28 years. Anna “Annie” Reiley died on October 10, 1952, in San Diego, California, when she was 92 years old.
